This policy explains what Zaytoun Market collects when you use our apps or our website, why we collect it, who else sees it, and how to get it deleted. It covers the customer app, the driver app and the Quiska app for business owners. It is written in plain language on purpose.
Who is responsible
Businesses on Quiska — a taxi company, a shop, a restaurant — each run their own app under their own name. The business is responsible for its own service and its relationship with you; Quiska builds and runs the software on its behalf and follows this policy for everything that passes through it. If you are a business owner using quiska.com or the Quiska app, Quiska is responsible for the data about you and your account.
What we collect
| What | Why |
| Your name, email address and phone number | Signing in (we send a code by email or SMS), receipts, and reaching you about a ride or an order in progress. |
| Your precise location, in the customer app, only if you allow it | To set your pickup and drop-off points, show drivers or shops near you, and place a delivery pin. You can refuse and type an address instead; the app keeps working. |
| A driver’s precise location, while the driver is online | So the nearest driver can be offered a ride, the customer can watch the car arrive, and the trip can be priced. It stops when the driver goes offline. |
| Pickup and drop-off points, delivery addresses and saved places | To run the ride or the order, and so you do not have to type them again. |
| Your rides, orders and payments | To run and deliver them, settle with drivers and shops, and keep the accounting records the law requires. |
| A device notification token | To send you updates about a ride or an order (and, for business owners, about their business). Removed when you sign out or delete your account. |
| Messages you send support, and the details of support calls | To answer you. For voice and video calls we keep when the call happened, how long it lasted and who took part. Calls are not recorded. |
| Ratings you leave | To know which drivers and shops are doing well. |
| For business owners: your business name, logo, colours, plan and app settings | To build and run your apps and bill your plan. |
The apps contain no advertising or tracking SDKs, and we do not collect crash reports today. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s advertising.
Cookies
Our websites set only the cookies they need to work: one keeps you signed in, one remembers the language you picked, and one protects our forms against forgery. Your answer to the cookie notice is kept in your own browser. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
We never see your card details.
Customers of apps on Quiska pay in cash or from a wallet balance. Where a card is used — a business paying for its Quiska plan, or a business that takes cards — the card goes straight to the payment company (Stripe on the web, Apple or Google inside the apps). No card number is entered into, transmitted through or stored on our systems.
Who sees what
- The business whose app you use sees your rides and orders with it, and the contact details it needs to serve you. It does not see your other businesses’ orders or your password.
- Your driver or courier sees your pickup and drop-off points and a name — the nickname you set, if you set one. They reach you through the app’s own chat and calls rather than your real number.
- Support can see your real contact details, because somebody has to be able to reach you when a ride or an order goes wrong.
- Nobody else — apart from the companies below, each for its one job.
Companies that process data for us
Running the service means some data passes through other companies. These are the ones, and what each one gets:
- Apple — the App Store, Apple’s notification service (to deliver notifications to iPhones) and in-app purchases of Quiska plans. Apple handles the payment; we receive whether a plan is active.
- Google — Google Play, Firebase Cloud Messaging (to deliver notifications to Android phones), and “Continue with Google” on Android and the web (only your Google account’s name and email).
- RevenueCat — keeps track of Quiska plan subscriptions bought in the apps: an app user ID, the plan and the store receipts. No card details.
- Stripe — card payments where they are used, such as a business paying for its plan on the web.
- Agora — carries in-app voice and video calls with a driver, a courier or support.
- Anthropic — the support assistant: your support messages are sent to it to draft an answer. It is not used to train anybody’s model.
- OpenStreetMap — map tiles and turning an address into a map location. Your phone asks their servers for the map around you, so they see the request.
- Meta (WhatsApp) — only if you choose to contact a business or us on WhatsApp.
- Cloudflare — the check on our sign-up forms that tells people from bots.
- Our email provider — sends sign-in codes, receipts and account emails.
How long we keep it
- Your account details stay while your account exists.
- Rides and orders stay longer, because they are accounting records — but once you delete your account they no longer point at a person: the name, phone and email are erased and what remains is an anonymous record.
- Location is kept only as part of the ride or order it belongs to (pickup, drop-off, route). A driver’s live position is used while they are online; we do not keep a history of where anyone goes outside rides.
- Notification tokens are removed when you sign out or delete your account. Support conversations are kept for the business’s records, detached from you once your account is deleted.
Your choices
- See and correct your details in the app, under Account.
- Use a nickname so drivers and couriers never see your real name.
- Turn location and notifications off in your phone’s settings. The apps keep working; you type addresses instead.
- Delete your account: customers in the app (Account → Delete account), drivers and business owners by email. Both ways are on the page about deleting your data.
Children
The apps are not directed at children: not at anyone under 13, or under 16 in the European Union and the United Kingdom. We do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and we say so in the app.
